I have been working in the chemical dependency recovery field since 1994. I also continue to participate in my own recovery from addiction began in 1986, I found therapy to be so helpful that I set a goal to become a therapist and help others on that level. I accomplished this goal by going to Sonoma State and getting a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 1994. I then began working in chemical dependency treatment centers as a counselor. I loved the work and was able to witness many lives at the beginning of their transformation. I furthered my education, graduating from the University of San Francisco in 2000 and becoming a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in 2008. The educational process took a while for me as I continued to put my recovery first as well as my marriage and family.
I have eighteen years experience working in chemical dependency treatment centers, nine of which were in a long-term Christian Rehab. I also spent time working at a safe house, counseling women and children fleeing from domestic violence. Additionally, I have specific training to help military veterans and their families.
I am looking forward to working with you and helping you transform your life.
